A collection of work that I have designed over time for private clients, past employers and during my education.

Web
Classy, elegant, sophisticated and simple were some of the words used by this client to describe how they wanted their website to look and feel. They had a logo idea already in mind, which I turned into a short flash intro (by request). The site also features an online booking section that users can fill out and be contacted afterwards.

This client wanted to build a brand around the logo treatment of his name. His website needed to be modern and trendy (as many houses today are) but still feel comfortable and inviting, to make users feel at ease with the process of buying and selling a home.

With an already established look to their restaurant, I aimed to build off of that familiar style and apply it online. The colors and logo can be found in the dining room, with visual elements added that re-enforce the elegant dining experience. Photos were taken by myself at the restaurant.

Simplicity was very important to this client. They wanted a website that was clear, concise and professional looking. I designed their logo to look like a street sign and continued that concept into the banners of the site. Each section uses a different type of street sign to communicate an important message relating to that page.

The client wanted the site to be very clean to allow for easy accessibility to a lot of content. I kept the design simple so that different amounts of content would fit without changing the layout. Dynamic forms were also created for users to sign up for volunteering and to donate.

An old school project that was one of the first dynamic websites I had designed and developed. The purpose was to create a site that sold a product online (in this case, it was my own artwork). I kept the colors simple and used a paper theme subtly throughout.

Flash
This client already had a very specific vision of what he wanted the site to look like. Using flash, I was able to translate his ideas into something that was very simple, but also engaging. Short animations helped transition through different sections of the site and a password protected "media" section was also built.

This is the first version of my Dagger Studios portfolio site. At the time, I wanted to develop my flash skills further so I decided to create it entirely in Flash. I focused creating a distict mood and to give the user a very interactive experience.

The goal of this project was to create a seating chart that would help users purchase tickets to an event at the Saddledome. In Flash, I created an interactive map allowing someone who hovers over different sections to see seating prices for that area, as well as click to get a virtual glimpse of the view from there.

Logo / Identity
A logo design for a realtor that wanted to build equity in his name. The client asked to have a modern look while at the same time have it feel calm and inviting. The use of his initials was also strongly preferred and ended up driving many different variations of those two letters.

A yoga clothing line needed a logo developed that would work for business purposes and to brand/badge their products with. I wanted to design something simple that if needed could be instantly recognizable without having a name beside it. I played off of the company name and used a "life line" as the concept behind the logo.

Tools: Illustrator
Using the company name as the concept, I designed this logo to directly relate to the "street" in GREENSTREET. I used text to build the shape of a street sign because I only wanted to suggest the idea of a sign and not actually use one in the logo. The green is similar to the color found on real signs.

The client wanted a very Chinese and Asian feel to the logo. I used the idea of Chinese calligraphy to create a brush stroke style in the image of the house and the lotus. To try and keep things fresh, I used a very bright pink to contrast the traditional look of the brush effect.

A fictitious film production company which uses the "Dagger" name that you see show up a lot on my website. My goal here was to create a logo and brand that could be seen implemented across various media. I wanted to design something that seemed edgy and slick but also professional and serious.
